Introducing LacrosseReference PRO
But I believe that lacrosse has gotten shortchanged; can you imagine watching a big-time college basketball game shot on an iPhone? And when the games are over, where do you go to satisfy your after-meal lacrosse cravings? Arguing on forum websites with anonymous fans/trolls? After you’ve read the coach-speak in recap articles, do you have anywhere to go to re-live the experience? And how is it that we are still citing goals/game to determine the best offenses? The existing coverage of lacrosse barely sustains our lacrosse fandom; it does nothing to feed it because everything is so surface-level. Box checked; job done.
Fortunately, some lacrosse fans have found a better way. They’ve found an outlet to feed their fandom. Like that favorite aunt whispering the location of the hidden desserts after a family meal. The Yoda to their Lax Luke Skywalker. They’ve found LacrosseReference PRO.
When you subscribe to LacrosseReference PRO; you get the real story, through better stats and fuller stories. Does a listing of the players with the most points tell you who is playing the best? Of course not; playing time matters, turnovers matter, numbers of games played matters. Are the best teams the ones with the best goal-per-game averages? What about the strength of their opponents?
At best, you know that the vanilla stats that exist elsewhere tell an incomplete story. At worst, you’ve got a completely inaccurate idea about the college lacrosse landscape. With LacrosseReference PRO, you get to follow the season in all of its rich detail.
There is no better time than today to become a PRO subscriber. Don’t want to pay for access all year long? Sign up for the monthly option and stop getting charged when the games are done. Want to subscribe with no commitment? Just set your account to Non-Renewing and I’ll ask before ever charging you again.
Once you complete checkout, you’ll immediately start to explore the data sets, analyses, rankings and player profiles. It’s KenPom for lacrosse. A statistical choose-your-own-adventure. Pick a favorite team or player to always have your most important lacrosse stories easily accessible.
You know that feeling when the season is coming to a close and you wonder how it went by so fast? Nobody wants to feel like they failed to enjoy their passions to the fullest. PRO customers don’t have to worry about that. It’s just a sport, but it’s a sport we care about. You’ve made lacrosse a part of your life; wouldn’t it be better to enjoy it without blinders on?
PRO subscribers do not need to worry about this. Deep stats tell richer stories, and this sport is chock full of good ones. When you can go beyond the vanilla stats, you become everyone’s favorite lacrosse expert. When all we have is surface coverage, hot takes rule the day. With PRO, you’ll know what’s really going on.

Do you provide definitions for the statistics you post? I have looked, but I haven’t found them, and they certainly would be helpful.
I would also enjoy reading what you think about the value of each statistic. For instance, I can’t figure out what value there is in breaking down efficiency by possession length. What is the implication of those stats?
Finally, there are some stats (like Riding %) that are given on individual team pages, but don’t appear on the pages where teams are ranked. Did I overlook it?

For the non-obvious stats, I have created a glossary page on my companion site. If there are any stats in particular that aren’t listed there, I’m happy to share a description if one isn’t laid out on anywhere.
