Then the 2nd half UVA squad took over and wow. The pace stayed just as quick, but the shots started falling and the turnovers went away. In the 3rd quarter, they managed to get off 16 shots in 11 possessions, for an absurd 1.45 shots/possessions. I know Duke still led after 3 quarters, but to me, the story of the game is how the blue and orange wave came out of the locker room and overwhelmed the Blue Devils.

Interestingly though, it is actually slower than their first match-up with Duke, when UVA took a shot after just 24 seconds on average. You could imagine that the coaching staff watched the video and concluded that they needed to be more deliberate in the rematch. But then that didn’t work great either, so they went back to what they knew best: speed.
